     Heavy Duty Office
Chairs
Do you need
some heavy duty office chairs? If you want some office
chairs which will stand the test of time and be sturdy
enough to last through years of physical abuse, you had best
make a wise purchasing decision or else you’ll have a costly
chair replacement project on your hands in a few
years.
Now you
don’t only need heavy duty office chairs to last through
standard wear and tear, but not every employee is created
equally and some weigh a little bit more than others.
Believe it or not, this can play a substantial role in how
long a chair will last.
This is why
it may be just best to make all of your chairs heavy duty
office chairs, that way it will not only be able to stand
the weight of your heavier employees, but it will also stand
up to a lot of abuse from the regular employee over
time.
Now if
you’re looking for one of these chairs, they’re usually made
of a fully upholstered back and seat, they have plastic
armrests which can be raised or lowered, and they are set on
a 5 pronged star with wheels at the base which allow it to
roll about and pivot. Most of these chairs will even
have the ability to raise the seat up or down or tilt the
backing, although these are usually the first bits of
functionality to break down on you.
Now if
you’re looking for some heavy duty office chairs, you’re
going to want to look for some that can withhold about 400
pounds of weight, that should just about cover all of your
employees well enough. There are some chairs out there
which can only take 250 pounds so do be weary of this kind
of information when you’re out shopping for the right set of
chairs.
One other
thing you’re going to want to check is that the chair meets
the ANSI/BIFMA standards for safety, it’s nice to know that
their sturdiness has been backed up by an official
source.
Of course
you also want these chairs to be comfortable as comfortable
and happy employees are productive employees. Although
I’m just guessing as to why you might be buying heavy duty
office chairs, perhaps you’re just buying it for
yourself.
Either way,
Aside from the above tips, you’re also going to have to
decide on a color for the chairs and make sure that the
chairs are the right height to go with the desks you
currently have setup. I’d also recommend you get some
additional parts for the chairs like extra office chair
wheels just in case one of them breaks down in the
future.
